DANNY DIABLO REMAKES TRUE ROMANCE

And the video has been removed by the record company.

You'll just have to remember how awesome it was.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE 90s HARDCORE ALBUM?

A new poll is going up on Monday morning and I want to hear your thoughts before I compile a list.

What is your favorite hardcore release of the 1990s? Leave your suggestions in the comments.

(ed. note - Each band only gets to have one album represented, so some feelings might get hurt. I'm sorry.)

And while we're on the subject, check out our friend Justin's blog Stuck in the Past, currently featuring the article, "5 Things I Miss About 90s Hardcore", from guest columnist Sergeant D.

IGNITE SINGER TO FRONT PENNYWISE

The members of PENNYWISE have announced that Zoli Teglas, front man for OC hardcore/punk band IGNITE will be filling in on vocals during the band’s set on the 2009 Smokeout Festival at the San Manuel Amphitheatre in San Bernadino, CA October 24th, as they begin their search for a new singer.

The two day Smokeout Festival will take place on October 23 and 24 and marks the seminal Hermosa Beach punk band’s first major show since Pennywise singer Jim Lindberg and the band parted ways last month after 19 years together.

Pennywise will be playing on a lineup that includes such acts as Slipknot, Deftones, Cypress Hill, Kottonmouth Kings, Bad Brains, Method Man/Red Man, a recently reunited Sublime (performing with their new singer, Rome) and many more.

He's not a permanent addition but it would still be interesting to hear. Probably not at the Smokeout Festival, though.
