NARROWS - NEW DISTANCES OUT TODAY

The first full length from Narrows is out today, and is one of the better records released so far this year. It's a bit of an all star line-up with Dave Verellen of Botch on vocals, Rob Moran of Unbroken on bass and Ryan Frederiksen of These Arms Are Snakes on guitar, and it's everything you'd hope for from these three.

The band stays true to their punk/hardcore roots and offers up nine solid tracks ranging from the straightforward and minimalist album openers "Chambered" (which you can hear on their Myspace site) and "Sea Witch" to the epically down tempo and Neurosis-esque "The Fourragere."

Narrows isn't trying to re-create whatever success they may have had in the past, but instead just focusing on making the best music they can, and with New Distances, the band has done just that.

You can get it at the Deathwish Inc. e-store or at your local record shop.

Don't forget that Ryan Frederiksen was also in the great Nineironspitfire!
