Citigroup, the people putting it on, have plastered "This is not a Kollective Show" on all of their flyers.

Question is, who is the Citigroup?

its that dood dana that used to do shows at boom va in ogden, he did the earth crisis show just recently. he worked with the kollective till they fucked him over i believe but isnt any longer.

Well it begs the question then does 1 penny enter the kollectives pocket cause my understanding was that they couldn't just play for anyone else because of 'contracts'and if they could get out of the contract why not just call their friends to do the show cause I'd love to go but have a sneaking suspicion that this is the kollectives clever way of tricking a show into being profitable 'oh its not a kollective show except they still get the money'

if the kollective opted out of the contract they could. thats what they did with the earth crisis show.

Theyre a Kollective over flow booking agency. Just as bad in my book... The kollective doesnt get any money from their shows but it makes them not look bad to booking agents. So in turn when you support these shows youre supporting the kollective.

So i hope every one had fun at the show.

i dont know if that is exactly accurate, im really not campaigning for that dana kids booking agencies cause im still bitter from the last time he was lying about working with the kollective. with that said when i talked to massive matt earlier this summer he had told me he was in talks with giving that dana kid all of the shows they had been giving to the kollective so as not to have to work with them anymore. if the kollective opted out of the show because of poor ticket sales or what not then it makes sense the booking agent would talk to that dana kid. my understanding is that the kollective fucked that dood over a couple years ago and this new booking agency has nothing to do with them. if he no longer works with the kollective at all then i see no reason to boycott his shows. i guess well see if kollective shows keep turning into his a couple weeks before the show. honestly, not that hes doing alot of shows id want to see, but part of getting new kids to shows is making hardcore and hardcore kids in salt lake less intimidating and stand-offish. that show last night was 90% young kids that no nothing outside about hardcore aside from what theyve seen and learned from kollective shows. its all about the big touring bands verging on mainstream with no concept of a local music scene.
