Hey, are you tired of listening to the same songs we've had on our player for the past 5 years? Well, if you can hold out a little longer you'll be in for a treat. We hit the studio last weekend for the first time in a few years.The plan was a 5 or 6 song ep, but two days before, we said fuck it and recorded everything we had. 10 songs that translate to about an hour of music. The result (which is about halfway finished) is two old songs re-recorded and 8 brand new tracks.
If you've seen us play live, you've heard two or three of them already, but we laid down 5 that no one has heard yet and they're shaping up to be amazing. We'll be playing a few of the new songs at the Starkweather show next month, but the actual album won't be done until sometime in the spring.
We've still got leads, vocals, mixing and mastering to finish which may take time but we want to do it right. We've got an artist in mind for the layout and we're getting him ideas so he can start.
You've held out this long already, so a few more months shouldn't be that big of a deal. We'll give you more info when we have it, but for now, rest assured that a new Tamerlane record is a reality. If Chinese Democracy can finally see the light of day, we can get our shit together too.
