POLICE SAY MASSAGE PARLOR WAS A BROTHEL

From the Deseret News - MURRAY — A massage parlor that police say was offering more than just back rubs was shut down and four people were arrested following an investigation by detectives.

Cheryl Lin Peterson, 62, Kenneth Barneycastle, 56, Jennifer Anna Boley, 30, and Emily Leix, 29, were booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of various charges each, ranging from money laundering to operating a house of prostitution to forgery to prostitution.

The business, the Pampered Male, 772 W. Spanish Oak Way (6130 South), was offering a massage for a flat fee that could possibly end in a sex act, said Murray police detective Kenny Bass. Peterson and Barneycastle were the primary residents of the house, he said.

Investigators became aware of the house after complaints were originally filed with code enforcement officials. Bass did not know Wednesday how long the business had been operating.
