In other GCA news, Monday will also see the launch of 3 regular columns here on the site. First, the Salt Lake Hardcore 101 section will receive a major jump start. Every Monday you'll find a new article on a classic Salt Lake City band, label, shop, zine, or venue! Look out for Deadfall 101 Monday morning!

Second, we're launching the Salt Lake Hardcore Music Archive. Updated every Wednesday, this section will host a constantly expanding database of downloadable Salt Lake Hardcore classics... past to present. Tune in next Wednesday for the chance to acquire one of Salt Lake's most-overlooked/important/excellent records, the Better Way Demo!

And finally, every single Friday you'll find a new article by the name of One Voice. It will feature a 5 question mini-interview with those who've helped shape Salt Lake Hardcore Punk. Our first voice will be from Troy Trujillo (11th Street Electric Gallery, Opened Up).

Not trying to step on your toes here but I seem to recall that I do a blog that's a Salt Lake Hardcore blog that is a music archive.

Maybe I am a dick and that's cool but I Just hoping that you guys aren't trying to Wal-Mart my blog into total obscurity. It's a lot of work to do on my part.

We're not trying to step on any toes, either and I don't think we are. When Dan and I started kicking around the ideas for the three weekly columns, the download column just seemed like a natural extension of the "Essential Listening" thing we'd already started. We just felt like it deserved it's own day.

Plus, neither yours, Ripple Effect or Sinking Forever had been updated in at least three months (sometimes a lot longer).

Sorry if it seems like we're trying to 'Wal-Mart' you, but that was never our intention.

I would never Wal-Mart you Josh. :)

P.S. Thanks for the One Voice/5 Questions column. It's really, really good.

While I hadn't done my site for a bit, I've done 3 uploads this week since Monday.

And if this the way you want to go, then fine. Good luck with it.

We decided to start this because everyone who used to do it stopped. If you're back on the horse, that's a different story.

Bottom line: Salt Lake Hardcore rules and everyone should have access to it. No matter who is posting it we're going to support it and and spread the word about it.

Just don't Michael Moore us about this okay? :) We're all in this together!
