October has turned out to be a big month for video game nerds, which i certainly am. Check out all three of these games coming out this month.

If you played the first Fable you know mostly what to expect. If you followed that games development you'll notice that Fable II is much more like the game they originally set out to make. The concept of a video game continuelly putting you into a moral dilemma is awesome, hopefully they didn't fall short of the mark.

This is a game I really haven't been following up till now. A post-apocalyptic first person RPG is something I've found I can really get behind though. If the world size is anything like Oblivion there will be hours and hours of side missions and general dicking off without even attempting the main storyline. It really looks like Bethesda tried to build on the dynamic of that game and make something pretty bad ass. Cutting off peoples thumbs for bounties? Punching peoples heads off? Seriously? That is fucking amazing.
And in other news, I'm a nerd.

In addition to the three games discussed here; Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was released last month and is a killer Star Wars RPG with a great story. If you're into the Star Wars saga you'll have to play this game. The story, and cinematics will make you feel like you're in a new installment of the series. Also, NBA 2K9 was released on Oct. 7th and the playability, and maneuverability of your character is outstanding. Great, great basketball game. Plus it has the updated roster for the Utah Jazz (Fuck Yeah! right?) Halo released information about a game called Halo 3: Recon. It's a squad-based game (Socom, Rainbow Six, etc.) where your story follows a Marine Recon team when the Covenant (bad guys) invaded earth. So far it looks pretty epic. (Check it out at www.bungie.net) Also in about three weeks from now a little game called Gears of War 2 is set to release. Now if you remember anything from Gears of War you'll remember that it completely blew Halo 2 out-of-the-water. I'm expecting an even greater success with GOW2. You story follows Marcus Fenix as he and his squad battle against the Locust, who have become increasingly intelligent, and a lot more daring then in the original. I won't begin to describe the Multiplayer because if you've got this far you probably don't wanna hear more about video games. But it should be excellent. Also there is a new update for XBOX Live sometime in the next few months that will grant with your XBOX Live account, an account for NetFlix. Any movie right on your XBOX? Fucking sick, right? Anyways, thanks for reading. And in conclusion I think I'm just as much as a nerd as Sias ;)
Have you guys seen the previews for Resident Evil 5? Sales will spike in northern idaho. Those who've seen the previews will probably get the joke.
