SKINNED ELBOW RECORDS IN THE TRIBUNE
Joe Jackson tried playing the clarinet in fifth grade, but he acknowledges that he has never been musically talented.
Growing up, Jackson recalls his dad loving Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne and his mom listening to Al Green and The Temptations. Jackson and his older brother used to jam to death metal and punk rock while they skateboarded.
"Music always has been in my life," said the 28-year-old Jackson.
Yet, he was afraid to follow his dream of working in the music business.
Until now.
Jackson, with the support of his wife, Giselle, four months ago started an independent record label, Skinned Elbow Records, out of his West Valley City home.
