FUCKED UP NEWS AND NOTES

Pitchfork -- Toronto hardcore warriors Fucked Up went years without releasing any albums, instead cranking out one tough-to-find single after another. They've already dropped one singles collection, 2004's Epics in Minutes. And early next year, they'll release another.

Back in September, we mentioned that Matador was planning to release a new Fucked Up singles collection called Couple Tracks. Today, the Matablog announced all the details of the comp. Due January 26, Couple Tracks: Singles 2002-2008 (not 2001-2009, as previously reported) will include two CDs or LPs of tough-to-find songs, divided into one disc of The Hard Stuff and one of The Fun Stuff.

The collection launches with "No PasarĂ¡n", the A-side of the first 7" the band ever released. It also includes covers, alternate versions of album tracks, and five unreleased songs, as well as a whole lot of tracks so rare that they might as well be unreleased. Consult the Matablog post for in-depth information on all of the songs.

Fuck winning 20 thousand dollars? That doesn't sound very sensible.
