90s VEGAN-STRAIGHTEDGE HARDCORE DAY

GCA is heading back in time today... back to a time when your friends walked around town in big baggy pants and choker necklaces... to a time when your music came from Very Distro and you found out about new bands in the thank-you-lists of other bands' liner notes... to a time when Earth Crisis playing Salt Lake was featured on America's Most Wanted and vegan kids still believed they could change the world by starting a band.

That's right people, we're going back to the the Mid-90s and featuring the finest vegan-straightedge, metallic hardcore bands of the era.

There are many great bands not included below because their legacies are left trapped on all those dusty VHS tapes lying around your parents' basements, not yet transferred into digital, YouTube format.

One of these bands is Syracuse, New York's Green Rage. So we'll start off with a news piece from 1995 featuring GR frontman Justin O'Hare.

Enjoy the stroll down memory lane...
