yknow T, i love ya, but that may be one of the most rediculous things you have ever said. i will take any joke as just that and rarely condemn someone for making even the most tasteless jokes. But i have to say there is nothing funny at least to me about a video game where fucked up japanese perverts can get their rocks off by sim-rape. further in the article it talks about how that game is an extension of another serious problem where 60% of japanese women have admitted being intentionally groped on the subway, and to me tehre is absolutely nothing funny about real sexual assault.
I'm pretty sure leisure suit larry is in the same league as this. Aside from that I really don't care what they put in video games. Our society is so double standard. There is not one but multiple games in which your character does drugs. Yet we still play them. Games where you can kill "innocent people" in the most horrific ways yet it's funny. This is ok but this isn't. Who gives a rats ass if they want to make a game about sexual assualt. I'm not going to play it. The fact that someone thought of it and made it is funny to me in itself. Censorship isn't a problem over in japan obviously and frankly who needs it. People are going to get raped, murdered, abused, and tortured. Shit happens. I'm not going to let some pervo in japan make me a debbie downer because he has a demented fantasy. I really don't care. It's life. Shit happens

the difference is this game is directly made for people to live out their sexual perversions. the entire game is about rape, how can you compare to a game where the sex is consensual? as far as murder in games, you still recognize what youre doing would be wrong in real life. japan has a serious problem with rape, thats why the majority of the pornography produced in japan is rape porn. youre a weird guy ace.
I think you're mistaking me for promoting this. I am simply saying whatever they want to do is up to them. People can pick the lesser of two evils (murder and rape)But the same fact comes into play. You are doing something and acting upon someone out of their "control". I'm pretty sure there are some fucked up individuals who get off on murdering people. Serial killers and Serial rapists. I'm trying to understand why you can pick and choose and accept one or the other. OUR society makes tons of money off of slasher thrillers. But hey let's pick and choose. Because some weirdo's in japan just like everywhere else have some crazy thing about rape. If it involves my friends or family I care. But since I already know my friends and family are smart enough to stay away from this stuff and prevent it then as you can tell I don't. I see Little T's point. I think this game is fucked up and my first impression was what the fuck!?!? but is this game really worse than games like GTA where you can kill and torture people anyway you please? How many of you have played games like that and laughed and enjoyed the killing? Most of us fall into that catagory but is it normal behavior? proably not. America has a problem with domestic abuse, murder, drug use, gang violence, and the mistreatment of women. These things are promoted by our favorite video games. It really is picking the lesser of two evils. Is it worse to rape/grope or kill/torture/destroy someones silicon soul?
ps-I play violent video games all of the time. I have no plans to stop, and I think the rape game is a horrible fucked up idea.

like i stated before, the difference to me is that everyone knows killing an innocent person is wrong. when its done in video games it only proves to me how desensitized we are. this game is solely made for sick fucking perverts to live out their fantasies of rape. games like GTA have over all objectives that are on the border of morality for alot of people. this rapelay game has no other point than the sexual arousal of men who fantasize about rape. i think comparing a game that allows you to make immoral choices knowing it is a game and a game designed for no other reason to live out your immorality are vastly different. the simple fact is that japanese culture has produced some serious cultural perversions. because of their lack of sensorship in some areas and strict sensorship in others many many japanese men have serious sexual perversions which involve forcible sex on women. where in a game like GTA (which is arguably the most graphic and controversial mainstream game to date) does it promote the abuse of women?
the point is anyone who could play this game and think its all in good fun would clearly identify with the character youre playing as.

What makes this so much different than your average video game is that, sias is right, those games have clear distinctions of what is 'right' and 'wrong' and those who play the game have that in mind. Although games like grand theft auto still include, murder, rape and gender objectification it's still super fucked up. Who said we had to choose which was more fucked up? Just because Sias didnt post an article about GTA doesn't mean he doesnt think its not fucked up or it has bad qualities about it. The point right now is this rape game, specifically designed for men who have fantasies about raping women. What the japanese have done with this game is allow men and possibly younger boys to act upon their predatory fantasies. It's not 'just' a video game, like those that involve murder and action, its a game where they can sit and become so involved with making it a pure fantasy, like everquest or some bullshit like that. Even japanese hentai porn is primarily focused on rape and sexually assaulting women. I mean the thought of this game even existing honestly scares the fuck out of me, it makes me feel really awful being a woman knowing that there are people out there who actually have these thoughts and actually want to play this game.
Okay so beyond that, i truly feel that maybe some people deserve to be killed and maybe its not a big deal who dies. But rape? I don't think ANY one deserves to be raped or sexually assaulted. Listen. For you to say that some people deserve to die is the same as if I said some girls deserve to be raped. No matter who you are if you're a piece of shit. There is probably at least one person that loves them. Who are you to be able to choose what ones morals are and what not. No one deserves to die. That's just a matter of opinion. It's a game blah blah blah. They have t.v. shows, and adult movies, and comics like that. Whatever. It's not in the united states. Be thankful. But I don't take your opinion seriously when you say people deserve to die. People do dumb things. Adolf Hitler believed that the jews DESERVED to die. See how similar you sound. Regardless if it's moral and it's not it's a matter of how you see it. I'm not saying that there is a select few people I wouldn't mind see dying but it doesn't mean they deserve it. Opinion's opinions opinions. You can argue all day but there really is no gray area with rape and murder. I just thought I'd point that out.
